Emmanuel Amuneke Golden Eaglets head coach, expressed
happiness that there are no injury concerns in his team ahead of the FIFA U-17
World Cup semi-final clash against Mexico on Friday morning.
He also said on Wednesday from Chile that his charges are
gearing up for the big showdown with the Mexicans..
“I’ve always believed that our journey in this championship
lies in the hands of God Almighty,” says Amuneke from the team’s base in Chile.
“It’s God that has taken us this far and we believe he can
still do more for us especially with Nigerians standing behind us with prayers.
“It’s our determination to bring something worth celebrating
for Nigerians at the end of the championship and the players are committed to
doing just that”.
He said they are focused ahead the semi final confrontation
with Mexico. “We are at a very crucial stage of the competition which calls for
focus.
“Mexico is a strong side, we already know that a tough game
lies ahead of us.
“The good thing is that all the players are looking forward
to the game.
“Most importantly, we don’t have any injury concerns in the
team, all the players are available for the match. “There could be minor knocks
and shocks which are part of the game but the good thing is that none is enough
to rule any of the players out of the game against Mexico”, Amuneke said
