Man Kills His Four Children After Quarrel With Wife

On Wednesday in Kaduna a middle aged man slaughtered four of his children and attempted to kill himself after he had quarrel with his wife.

According to source - Neighbours said that the man quarreled with the wife throughout the night, forcing her to leave the house located on Ahmadu Bello street in Kawo area of Kaduna metropolis.

After something the man locked the entrance of their house and used a knife to kill his own four children between the ages of six to one year.

One of his children who was not at home at the moment, alerted the security in the area, when he found the door to the residence locked from inside on Wednesday afternoon.

When the neighbours and some policemen forced the door to the house open, the children were already dead while their father was still alive but in serious condition.

Zubairu Abubakar Police spokesman in the state said that the man and the children had been conveyed to St Gerards General Hospital in Kakuri, Kaduna.

He said that the police had commenced full investigation into the matter.
