Manchester United have unveiled the new home jersey they
will be wearing for next season.
The Old Trafford club continues with adidas which they have
a 10-year-year deal with and their new strip comes with a button collar design.
According to adidas, the new shirt is to pay homage to some
of the classic jerseys from the past.
The jersey is in Manchester United’s red colour with white
and black stripes at the shoulder.
“The shirt mixes classic football looks with terrace-inspired
details like contrast- colour cuffs and a granddad collar,” adidas said in a
statement.
In promotional materials released for the new strip, captain
Wayne Rooney, Paul Pogba Daley Blind,
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Victor Lindelof and Jesse Lingard
modelling the new jersey .
Manchester United will first wear the shirt in the pre-season
July 15 game against Los Angeles Galaxy.
