On Friday, the Baptist Conference in Osun announced that N10 million (approximately $25,000) was paid as ransom to secure the release of four members of the church who were kidnapped on January 11 and January 16.
Two of the individuals were abducted on January 11 and a ransom of N6 million (approximately $15,000) was paid for their release.
